Southampton PCT Primary Care Delivery Centre

Location: Southampton, Western Hospital Campus

The Primary Care Delivery Centre will be the first building project delivered by South West Hampshire LIFT with expected completion due in late summer 2009. The building is a 3-storey triangular structure which features a glass roofed atrium. With floor-space covering 4,433 square meters, the building will hold a huge variety of services including:
  • An NHS Walk-in Centre
  • GP Services
  • GPs with special interests
  • Physiotherapy
  • Musculoskeletal Clinics
  • Space for advice sessions
  • Long Term Conditions
  • Office Accommodation
All of the above services will be put in place to better serve the Millbrook community in which the centre is located. These services will be arranged around the atrium, which will house a café and waiting area. The Primary Care Delivery Centre has been designed by Greenhill Jenner Architects and is under construction by SWHLIFT’s main contractor, Geoffrey Osborne Ltd.
