Adelaide Health Centre, Millbrook

Location: Southampton, Western Hospital Campus

The Adelaide Health Centre is the first building project delivered by South West Hampshire LIFT and was handed over to NHS Southampton City in October 2009. The building is a 3-storey triangular structure which features a glass roofed atrium. With floor-space covering 4,433 square meters, the building will hold a huge variety of services including:
  • GP Services
  • GPs with special interests
  • Podiatry
  • Leg ulcer clinics
  • Physiotherapy
  • Community Neurological rehabilitation team
  • Health Visitors
  • Musculoskeletal clinics
  • Treatment for long term conditions
All of the above services have been put in place to better serve the Millbrook community in which the centre is located. These services are arranged around the atrium, which houses a café and waiting area. The Primary Care Delivery Centre has been designed by Greenhill Jenner Architects with interiors designed by Architecture PLB. It was constructed by SWHLIFT’s main contractor, Geoffrey Osborne Ltd.
